A question about PSO Fan/Private Servers...

So, I'm letting a friend of mine borrow my copy of PSO on the GCN and he wants to play in Online Mode, but both of us have forgotten how to access the servers, and from what I understand, the official ones be down. If I remember correctly, it had something to do with changing the IP Address in the Internet Settings, but I forgot what I had to change it to.

So, basically, I want to know how to access such servers, if the servers haven't been closed yet. Thanks much in advance.

Googling doesn't seem to be of much help. All I've found is that you can set up a private DNS in order to redirect whatever server the game tries to access to the server you want it to access, but I don't actually see any private servers for the GC version.
