This happens about this time every year. It's a terrible cycle I go through that results in constant dissatisfaction. In about the middle of August, I decide that I miss my long hair. I then proceed to let it grow until its down to my shoulders. At this point, I remember why I cut my hair in the first place--It gets in the way and is a pain in the ass to keep under control. So, at about this time of the year, I get fed up and decide to cut my hair short.

So here's the deal. I don't have a recent picture of my hair right now. It's probably not very relevent. There is, however, a picture of me in my user profile and two in the album that are close enough. It's the same hair cut as in those pictures, only slightly longer.

Normally I wouldn't come to EoFF (or rather, the internet in general) for this kind of thing, but people around here won't give me any suggestions and I figure this is a good place to get some diverse opinions; they all want me to keep my hair long. So it is to you, citizens of EoFF, that I turn for suggestions! I'm not up for anything particularly high maintenance, but I'll give just about everything a look.

I felt the same as Psy, except I changed some bits and pieces. Cut your hair short, put some gel in it and get some scruff. You have dark hair so the scruff will look cool. :mog:

What ever you do, don't use gel. No girl likes running their fingers through your hair to feel some gooey / dried up muck. Use some decent products, maybe some clay or something.

Other than that, I'm not really sure how you could have your hair.

As soon as it's long enough to tie back, it all gets about ten times easier. You still use a lot more shampoo etc, but when you can keep all your hair in place with single hair tie, it's a breeze.

I dig having long hair. Right now it's just about shoulder length, but I sometimes - like you - think about cutting it all off, simply because it's easier with short hair. I feel like the long hair suits me better, though, and it's something different from what everyone else has.. so, I'm sticking with it for now.

Anyway, long hair rocks... keep it that way. But, if you do cut it short then don't use gel - that's just nasty.

If you like long hair then you should grow it out! Just....make sure you keep some bangs that are medium-long to short and have plenty of layers or you'll look like a hippie! Also, on hot days and days where you can't do much with your hair, you can just tie it back or braid it.

Besides, everyone knows that men w/ pony-tails are hot!!!:love:

The girls I know generally give me hell for cutting my hair. I learned that last year when I got my hair cut short right before prom. I later learned that my prom date is probably the person most vehement about keeping my hair long. She's currently refusing to go anywhere with me if I cut my hair.

Apparently the reaction seems much the same here. I clearly must weigh the options...
