Following a tutorial by Digital Tutors, I was able to come up with this Pod Racer. First of all, the tutorial left a lot of room for my own creation, pretty much just telling me what things do what, why you use them, etc.
I had animated a non-textured version, and just rendered a textured version. Below are pictures of the rendered front and back, along with a motion blur just to see what it would look like if it was moving (just added in a tiny bit of animation to get that result).
