I have a TMobile plan and phone. It is in horrible condition. It has been run over with my mom's car at least 5 times, I've thrown it at the ground numerous times, and I've kicked it across a parking lot and people has stomped on it. I want a phone that looks nice and is this durable.
It looks horrid, but it works fine.

Those nokia phones are VERY dependable and durable, but when you beat them up man, they STAY beaten up.

I have an older model of that exact phone, that's been thrown down flights of stairs, stepped on, etc, etc and it still works right as rain.

Protip: Don't get cheap walmart phones.

Just go to a phone store and have a look at the range. Mostly anything is fine.

I'd advice against SonyEricssons which are over 3 years old though. They've had some technical difficulties at the start.

Other than that, anything will do really. SmartPhones are neat, IMO.

That is my phone. It is a t-mobile device as well, and is a rather nice phone. It is not the most durable though, but it is made to basically sit in the holster on your belt while you use a blue tooth device to dial and everything. It can be a rather nice phone. It can handle tmoble wifi, and daisy's into my laptop to access this wifi at airports and other sweet places. I am convinced I can train it to wipe my ass if the need arises.

I got it on a deal. 100 bucks, plus a two year contract. A very sweet deal imho.

Like I said, it is fairly fragile. I have dropped it a few times, and the corners are chipped, the touch screen is fine. It comes with a free warranty so I can literally trade it in. Also, as I said, it is not made to need to be durable.

I just upgraded to one of those from one of these: <img src="http://www.mobiletopsoft.com/images/news/ppc-6700-htc-apache5.jpg">

It's a bit of an improvement - mainly that it runs a newer WM5 ROM more smoothly than the one I hacked onto the Apache. I was a little disappointed when I found that it wouldn't run WM6 though.
I also love the lack of aerial! :p

I need to get a phone. I've never had a cell phone before, so I don't know what to look for. :P

As long as it does the job (which is telephone calling and SMS messaging) it doesnt matter what features or prettiness they tack on it its still better getting a cheap £30 piece of crap!

I want something that isn't such an eye sore and that can take the punishment I dish out on a regular basis. My last 3 phones could not stack up.
