Selphie. Quistis is dull and boring, whereas Selphie has a bit of life to her.

Selphie got better development, but Quistis is dressed by Kefka's tiger wrangling cousin Bob from Las Vegas and that makes her better. Quistis has a character design that's one of my favorites ever =o I must vote for her.

It’s Selphie. People who like Quistis don’t really like her; people just pretend that they like Quistis, so that they.. I don’t know, come off as a free spirit, or anti-mainstream, or way out there, or sophisticated, or whatever the smurf these kids are flocking toward these days.

My rule of thumb for Final Fantasy VIII is: Any scanned character that can be rotated vertically for 360° (or at all. It’s been a long time.) sucks.

Selphy is obviously the better of the two. While she can be eccentric at times, she is no where near as annoying as Quistis. Quistis puts the Deling misson on the line by thinking that she must apologise to Rinoa (for shouting at her for no reason). Quistis is one of the characters that I most dislike out of any game.
The only good point was when she told Squall to get Rinoa back and to stop being an idiot (after they get back from space).

Anyways, Rinoa is better than both of them.
