Does it matter what version of the game you have when it comes to using Mognet?
I know the DS isn't region coded, but when I tried to add a friend code from someone who has the American copy of the game, it said there was an error in the code, and it did the same thing when I gave him mine.

The Wi-Fi connection is how the DS connects to the internet right? Nearby friends is those who are in the same room, and faraway friends is those who live...well far away and therefore requiring the Wi-Fi Network....am I correct or not? I should be able to add friend codes without being on Wi-Fi shouldn't I? Because I tried both on and off and it didn't work. Same with my friend. He lives about 28 miles away from me, but as far as we both know that's why there's Wi-Fi to use. Mognet is meant to be a Final Fantasy specific e-mail service pretty much isn't it?

Lot's of questions. I'm confused!

Yes it is, but you may want to check your setting. If they allow you to use WiFi I can't see why adding friend codes from other countries would be a problem. It's like saying that you can't send email to people in Japan.

I haven't had the chance to add a friend from the UK yet. My friend Heather said she will pass on her code to me and vice versa next time we speak online. She said that she'd had trouble adding someone as well though. I don't know if this person she knows is in the UK or not.

Sorastrife: there is a forum for your FC here Friend Code thread (http://http://forums.eyesonff.com/final-fantasy-iii/96807-friend-codes-here.html)

Also I have come to the conclusion that you can only add people within the same country :(. Thus meaning that the european version has a region block on, damn them. Although some european version can be lucky to be region free I suppose. This is an issue on many forums, so there you have it, all down to a region block and apparently DS was region free O_o.

My friend code is 3823-5090-1918 (UK version guys).

I successfully entered your code Espio, but I can't send a message.
Do you have to be online? Or do we both have to be added as friends before we can do it? I am sure I read that you can send messages when people are offline.

Connect to mognet first and hopefully I should appear as white afterwards.

It didn't do that when I tried.
Erm, is there anywhere that tells us how it actually works, along with what you can and can't do?

Thanks Square for explaining exactly what is possible and what isn't in the FFIII and Wi-Fi manual that you provide with the game, and in your strategy guide......NOT!
