View Full Version : Does there exist an underlying EoFF 'type'?

I'm not sure what term I'm after. It encompasses culture, religion, lifestyle, politics, and beliefs. I tend to think the average EoFFer:

- is a liberal
- is a deist
- if not a deist, is a theist
- if neither, says they are an athiest but likely are a deist
(if all 3 are false the person is probably Dr Unne, Spatvark, or Peegee. Anybody else isn't an active poster or I forgot you. Sorry)
- is a young adult or a teenager
- likes or accepts anime instead of hating it
- is against George W Bush Jr for various reason
- is against war in Iraq

Anything else? I think it's pretty interesting that we are able to have coherent discussions in EoEo since most of us essentially agree about the big picture. I would imagine if I were correct, we would end up agreeing with most things and squabble over semantics.

I think you are way too busy making gross generalizations to actually understand anything about a single EoFFer.

Is that bad?

I don't think you can 'group' more than 100 people without making some sort of gross generalisation about them all, especially if you don't know the majority of them personally.

If I were to stereotype the people I know from EoFF personally or closer than the rest, I wouldn't be able to stereotype them and consequently wouldn't make up crap like I did above...

(though most of them are deists in one way or another)

Sorry, I don't fit with your stereotype. Anime is horrible, I'm not for or against Bush, I'm not really into American politics. I probably wasn't in your target group anyway since I hardly ever post in EoEO, and especially not about politics.

The word anime is the only thing I can understand from his post.

The EoFFer is 6 feet tall, blonde with spiky hair, a chip on his shoulder and a badass sword

Oh wait.. this is the FF hero stereotype. Never mind!

we're all neo hippies with the internet...it stands to reason we'd all congregate in the same area, though some of us may tend to go with the flow.
