I've gone through several pronunciations. I used to think it was pronounced "oon," but now I'm thinking it's "OO-nay" because Unei in FF3 was spelled the same way in a fan translation.
What's your opinion?

Actually, I always thought it was like this:
['une]
Now this will seem weird to most of you, because in English you leave out the e-sound if it comes in the end of a word, but ['une] is a natural Swedish pronounciation; I also pronounce the name Masamune as [,masa'mu:ne], another completely natural Swedish pronounciation. :D
I say spell the names like "Unnė" and "Masamunė". :thumb:

"Yuhn."
The u being kinda like "oo" but quicker (thats why i put an "h" in lol).
Once i pronounce a word like i think it is especially a name in a game i find it very hard to change the way i say it. Thats why my friends get mad at me when I say stuff like "spy-ra" instead of "spee-ra" and "fa-rees" instead of "fa-riss".

Unn, like the french word (masc) for one but longer with more emphasis on the n.
