Albums you never thought you would buy

Just curious as to see what albums people have bought recently (or ever) that at point they thought they would never buy or even get into the genre. For example: I never thought I would get into death metal or just metal in general. But lately I've bought:

Dark Tranquillity - The Gallery, Fiction
Cradle of Filth - Thornography, Damnation and a Day
Daath - The Hinderers
Chimaira - Resurrection, The Impossibility of Reason
Amon Amarth - With Oden On Our Side

And all are great albums btw

I never in my life thought I would buy any album by Utada Hikaru. After that, I didn't think I would ever buy her US album Exodus because of the poor fan reaction. I don't care how poppy and out of place her music is in my collection; I love it.
