So how do you prefer people to address you online? Do you like your close friends to address you by your username online or do you prefer them to address you by your real name.

I dun care. no one online calls me Bob since there's a BoB and that would be confusing so they call me Bert. no one offline calls me bert anymore. been a few years since that.

People I talk to regularly online can call me by my name or a various nickname they have for me. People on forums like these, in which I do not talk to anyone outside of the forums, should only address me by my username. Since that is the only name they know.

How dare you use Aunt Mouldy and Mr. T in the same sentence without the word "not". :(

M'Lord, or possibly Egbert. Or Eric. I love that name. I really wish I knew someone called Eric.

Generally talking about people I've met online, online one has called me by my real name when speaking with me. Otherwise they call me Cim, or Cimanim or whatever strange nickname they have given me. An example of a really strange nickname is Chimeny. O_O
Even when talking on the telephone, I've been refered to as Cim.

Online in general or this forum in particular?

Friends call me by name as long as it's in a message or an IM. It gets rather tedious when people start asking you who you're talking to.

I like people to call me Chloe. :) Or if they must, some sort of nickname. My username is too long and it sounds strange to call me that. xD

I make everyone from the forums I meet call me theundeadhero, except a few who could get away with calling me Tonsilton if I met them.

If someone who is not a close friend addresses me by my real name, I have no choice but to have that someone killed.

I don't really care. innocentenshi7 or Eileen, it's both the same to me. hahaha. but apparently innocentenshi7 is too hard to type and/or remember, so I guess I'd feel better if people call me Eileen. Because I don't want my name to be confusing.

Agent Proto

I personally don't care, as long as I know I know that it's referring to me.

Slade
05-23-2007, 08:26 AM
Most people call me Slade online. But I don't really care either way. As for me, I usually call people by their usernames when I'm online. It'd be different if I met them in real life.
