Pretty much the only type of games I play are RPG, with my favorite (and my personal measuring stick) being the Final Fantasy series. I have the Xenosaga series which I enjoyed as well. I might be getting a XBox 360 off a friend of mine in a couple weeks and was wondering if there were any good RPG's comparible to FF, in terms of story and gameplay? Links to reviews/screenshots would be nice, but not necessary.

Thanks :)

Good RPGs like FF? No. Not yet anyway.

Enchanted Arms is a decent game that's as close to FF as you'll get right now, but not worth getting a 360 for. The PS3 version is actually worse.

Oblivion is not FF style, but it could be a good step for you to broaden your horizons when it comes to games. If you're going for the 360, get used to Western Style games.

In the future, Blue Dragon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Dragon) and Lost Odyssey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_Odyssey) are both supposed to be coming out this year, and they're both from the creator of Final Fantasy. You could wait for those. Also, there's The Last Remnant (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Last_Remnant) coming out eventually from Square-Enix.

Back on the Western RPG side, Mass Effect is probably one of the biggest games coming out this year on the 360. You could give that a shot.

If all your looking for is Final Fantasy types, the 360 isn't really the place for that. There are a few games coming that would appeal to you so it's not completely barren, but don't write off stuff like Oblivion and Mass Effect because it's not like FF. (You can write off Enchanted Arms though.)

I wouldn't necessarily say "all I'm looking for" but using it more as a measuring stick. I'm into games that have story as well as a similar gameplay style to FF. I have X-Men and Baldur's Gate games on the PS2. They're good in story, but the game play is only OK in my opinion.

I use FF as a measure because that is what I'm most familiar with. Xenosaga is like FF, but still has differences that makes it enjoyable. I'm not a hardcore gamer, so I lack the terminology to explain things better, so I apologize for that.

Thanks for the links as well. I'm definately going to check them out.
