I joined because I was looking for a guide to Final Fantasy 8, and somehow found this site.

Because I stumbled upon it, love FF, and decided reluctantly to join. I still to this day enjoy this place even though I take long absences nowadays.

Some weird guy w/ a shiny yellow pancho who was very mellow said hello than dragged me here with a sadistic celebot rope in a witty yet brutal fashion?

well...I think it was FFX that made me come here...

I used to post at ff8.gamegurus.net -- we were a nice bunch. Insanely, irrationally obsessed FF8 players. We had geniune FF8 gurus. There was a guy who played with an analog joystick so he could (so he claimed) do Zell combos ever 0.2 seconds, thus he could basically one shot omega weapon after you casted whatever it was that doomtrain casts on a mob.

The point is, we had a good community. However one day gamegurus was going to shut down. We didn't know what to do but some people posted that they also posted at EoFF. So I jumped ship and started posting in EoFF answer all the questions and stuff.

Later on I found out about EoEo and posted there...incessantly. EoEo and FF8 was my home for the first few months of my membership. THEN I started posting elsewhere -- GC, help forum, etc.

To this day I rarely post in the lounge and even less in the general gaming forum. I have no idea why.

I seen this site in my college Gaming and Computer Simulation text book and was like "Tight! I wonder if this is a real site!" So I found this place on the internet and was like "Hell yeah! This place is real! I'm joinin'!" And this place has never been the same ever since...

Ouch!

Something involving a search for information about one Final Fantasy game or another, no doubt. I think I actually decided to join because the concept of fora was so absolutely foreign. It was intriguing. It also happened to be intriguing enough to cause me to spend unhealthy amounts of times here which eventually branched off into instant messagers and other forms of online communication.

I barely knew how to google something when I found this place. I didn't realize things had changed so drastically until a friend sent me a picture of the logo for The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past which was written in HTML coding. I understood it.

Thanks a lot, EoFF.

My friend Genji(now banned) found the site and introduced me to it. Other than that reason I joined because at the time I was obsessed with FFX, and probably still would be if I hadn't run out of things to do on it.

I was looking for a final fantasy forum.
I found Shrine first, but that place is rubbish, it's too strict.
So I looked again and found EOFF, this place is sooooo much better.

No, really, it's because I visited the forum, after remembering this site from college (I remember reading a very good fanfiction, and brilliant FF8 walkthrough on EoFF) and finding the forums are much more active than the other two or three forums I also go on, I decided to join. :)

Now this is a story all about how, my life got flip turned upside-down, now if you'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, I'll tell you how a became a regular at EoFF.

In south-west Glamorgan, born and raised, on the PC was where I spent most of my days. Nerdin' out, faxing and tryin' to be cool, and all shooting some noobies when I came back from my school, but at a couple of games, I wasn't up to much good, couldn't beat the bosses in the way I should. I burned down one little room and my mom got scared and said 'You go get some advice from EoFF'.

I looked through Google and when EoFF came near the mods were all called 'Knights' in ed's technicolor nightmare. If anything I thought that this forum was rare, but I thought 'Nah, forget it' and straight up clicked Register.

I pulled up to General Chat at about 7 or 8 and I yelled to the members 'I'm new, smell ya later'. I looked at the frontsite, I was finally there, to sit on my ass, and make posts about Bel-Air.

I was all like

"oh my gaaawd, jeg blir gal. Nå har jeg vært i ørten jævla kamper og de snille monstrene kommer aldri. Kommer til å trøkke FF9 cd'ene gjennom hjernen til noen snart. >:/"

and an internets friend of mine named Too_Cool on a Norwegian chat site was all like:

"Jeg vet hva du trenger! http://www.eyesonff.com/forums"

and that's pretty much it.

I was searching the net for an FFVII walkthrough in early 06 & stumbled on EoFF. Never bothered joining the forum at that time. When I bought FFXII I went looking for a side quest walkthrough & again found EoFF & kept revisiting the site for side quest stuff & one day just decided to join the forum.

I used to be part of a forum called Absolute Playstation about 4 or 5 yrs ago. Was an active member for a yr of so then complicated life stuff got in the way so didn't really do much of anything for a while. Went looking for it recently found it was gone. I thought EoFF could fill that void & it did:D

There was a terrible plague in my beloved peasant village. Everyone lay dying around me, though I had somehow survived. Suddenly I was accosted by a man on a white horse who brought me here, which I saw as a great opportunity to post a glowing topic about FF1's Red Mage and generally moan about how crappy Black Mages are.

I'd been using the site for information on the games for quite some time, since 2001, perhaps. Then I joined out of sheer boredom and a small, tiny, Windows XP error involving improperly deleting iTunes and no longer allowing my computer to recognize any removable hardware/software. Since I was unable to play WCIII, here I am.

Boredom and bollocks.

When I typed in 'final fantasy forums' on Google looking for forum to join, EOFF was like the first or second one that popped up. I did look around but I was impressed cos Eoff is the only forum that had whole forums devoted to every Final Fantasy from the first one to XII. Some others only went up to IV and others bunched FFI - III in one forum which kinda sucked cos everything was mixed up. Plus its a lot faster than the other sites ;-)
Eoff is the best FF forum by far I think.

I couldn't beat that smurfer Seymour Flux in FFX, so I searched the Internet for some info. I stumbled upon EoFF. I read up about how to beat him, and after that, I rummaged around the frontsite for a while (for whatever reason I was addicted to the Tactics page, i've never even played Tactics), and then I found the 'View Forums' button. I lurked around the FFX threads before I finally decided to join. Since then, i've been addicted to EoFF. EoFF is also what introduced me to my first love, Final Fantasy XII.
