Hmm... tough one lol, im gunna take a stab at King Tonbery... my reasoning? theres a place in devon called cockington he is the supreme tonberry, and im thinking the unknown part refers to the fact that you dont know when you will fight him as you need to fight many tonberrys and the final part im assumeing refers to the fact that he lies in the Centra Ruins (if thats what its called).

I have two potential answers:

1. Rough Divide limit break... the wave from his blade, the explosion lifts the enemy and makes them drop with a bang... can't justify the last two lines tho...

2. Doomtrain... the tracks kinda wave in, then it flashes as he bangs into the enemy, knocking up and back down, and if he's got good comp with a player, it's cool to do all the time to weaken your enemies, but if you have to wait, it's kind of a waste of time....

Okay then, I think the first line refers to the game's opening sequence when Seifer waves his sword, hits Squall with a flash of fire, and the gunblade bangs. I can't remember if there was a fall at the end of the game, but I think that the riddle as a whole refers to the game itself. I think the last two lines could refer to how some people like us really love the game, but other people didn't seem to recognize its amazingness and it became just another fad to them... So my answer if FFVIII.
