No. This is a known issue in the SNES/PS versions. I thought they fixed it in the GBA version.

I think it's pretty obvious that you knew what you were doing since there's no real reason to dick around in that part of the Opera House.

And regardless, hopefully you've learned a valuable that most gamers have learned the hard way: Save often. You can never save too much.

You keep all experience when you die so this brings up my long asked question...
If you lvled Terra up to 99 and did not save but once in the first dungeon then died, wouldnt you be lvl 99 casting Ultima on Whelk???
(I know magic doesnt carry over but Terra learns Ultima naturally if i remember correctly)

The glitch is the fact that her teleported from the world of Ruin to the world of Balance. Not that he died.

You keep experience if you get a game over? What?

On the SNES version, when you die you go back to your last save spot, and you lose any gold, treasure and level-up stat bonuses, but keep your experience. In the GBA version, when you die you go back to your last save spot, losing everything. I'm not sure about the PSOne version.

Never knew that. Finding out 'new' stuff about old games is fun,
