Which job class do you think kicks the most ass? This excludes the four new job classes from FF5 Advance and mime because of the limit of chioces.

ninja for two swords, throw, and great speed.

Plus 2-swords, and the Hunter's Aim, you can use two blood swords and never miss. I'm not sure if the ninja can equip those though, you might need to use the bare class for taht.

I've always liked Dragoons. Ninjas with their Scrolls also. And Summoners.

Dancers are win, monks are pretty win, Dragoons and ninjas are powerhouses etc.

Dancers win by power versatility and good looks.

(although lenna is pretty cute as a monk)

As a stand-alone class, the Monk is probably the best because of good barefisted attack power, good stat growth, the ability to counter attacks (IIRC) and HP+xx% abilities. However, if you can combine classes, a Ninja with Archer/Hunter's X-Fight ability is excellent since you can hit your enemies 8 times and - as far as I know - never miss.

THat's what I'm saying - The hunter ability is the best - match it with ninja two-sword and 8 attacks!

Ninjas be my heroes. Two swords and scrolls and throw. Just beautiful. Poetry in motion

I've always found Dragoons to be pretty kick ass for some reason or another. Though if you really want to hand someone their arse, it has to be the Monk.

Too bad the poll is closed. I like monks because of their strength and high HP, but you can't not put an ability on. For power, I put on the $Toss ability. Especially when I have the gil to spare. Of course, there are a few great jobs in this game and it's hard to pick just one.

If the poll was still open, Geomancer would have a vote. I love them, I, truly, madly, deeply love Geomancers.

Time Mages, largely because you can transfer their abilities to absolutely any class and they won't be any less effective if you do, as opposed to White/Black magic or Summons.

And because I love Time Magic.

Samurai, their high critical hit rate and sword grab abilty make them optimal front line fighters compared to knights and ninja's. Sorcerors are my second choice cause they have good equipment options and their abilites make them useful throughout the game.

Abilty wise, Knight, Monk, and Ninja are the most important.

Time Mages, speed is everything!

I really, really disliked using Dragoons in this game. There must be some unwritten rule in the FF universe that dragoon talents have to suck every other game.

A beserker + death's scythe is freakin' godlike during the first part of the game, scoring up to thousand HP per attack when the average is like 400. But in general, I liked Time Mages and Dancers the bost. Bartz as a Dancer looks so swank.

Geomancers were very useful in FF Tactics, but I never used them much in FFIII and FFV. In what way were they useful in FFV?

For killing a few rare monsters easily at low levels.

Can't they walk on lava and not get hurt?

Do their landscape attacks work against Skull Eaters and Harpies (those hard-to-kill monsters in the basement of the Waltz/Worus Castle, IIRC) too?

I think they can, and I think they can also avoid trap doors. I'm not sure about this, but supposedly it's enough that one of your party members is a Geomancer, and that way the whole party can walk over lava pits and trap doors without any harmful effects.

yeah, if you're a geomancer and come on a trap door, you'll go all "!" and jump back, but if you walk into it again you'll fall :p Yes you avoid damage from lava.

Oops, late to the party.

Free magic which does decent damage, of course!
