Have you ever looked at one object or person and called it/them by a completely different title/name?

I looked at our toaster, and nearly called it the printer...Plus, I'll look at my cat (named Cat) and call him Emmy (which is the name of our new puppy), and vice-versa.

Or, I'll look at my sister Madison and call her Cat, and look at Cat and call him Madison :(

I once (actually, a few times) had a boyfreind named David, so any other boyfreind/sleeping partner after David was officially also called David, until so-called David wannabe could not stand being called David anymore, especially when I said thier supposed name (David) in my really whiny "give me what I want because I am female" voice.

Luckily, I have two friends named David now, and neither of them will notice if I say "Oh but Daaaaaaaaavid, I want it soooooo baaaaaad" and actually didn't think I meant to not mean to say thier names as David even if they were David etc etc.

Anyways, I'm usually the person that gets called the wrong name. A lot of people call me my mom's name all the time, one of my friends always calls me the name of her best friend, and another has called me by the name of his girlfriend too many times. Those are the most common.

Ok not me but my mom has this problem I'll often open the wrong cupboard in the kitchen but then thats generally because something has moved from where it normally is kept.

The last time my mom called me by the correct name and not my elder brother's or even my 4 year old nephew's name is so long ago now I don't remember when.....I think she's going senile. :\
