Does anyone know where I can download the TV series in AVI, or better yet, in DVD format? Subtitles are very welcome. If anyone knows where I can download the feature films then I would be grateful for any information.

Apart from this being illegal in quite a few states (possibly legal in Poland though), Stage6 and the P2P networks are the best bet.

I actually really like Stage6 in regards to watching videos. The quality is great, you can save them as .AVIs and the upload-speed of their server is simply amazing. Getting the right subtitles is a totally different tale though as is getting all of the episodes (it's pretty annoying when you're missing episode the last episode of the series).

It's a great site if you want to watch a HD trailer of Matrix or something. Needless to say, I only watch legal videos without infringing the copyright and have only heard from some random person on the street that it could be possible.:rolleyes2
