The PS2 will most definately be standing along side my 360 and PS3 for years to come. That console took crap from nobody. Furthermore, I refuse to take crap from anyone who bashes that system for anything except it reliability.

Odin Sphere proves the PS2 is still the best system available for now. That and my library of over 60 PS2 games anyway.

Even in reliability, my old PS2 was a workhorse!!! Still is working, even being abused by my 8 year old :D

My PS2 is currently hooked up to my T.V., along with my Dreamcast. I haven't touched much of the PS2's library, so it has much life in it to me.

I still play mine regularly, which I can't say for the Gamecube or X-Box. It had its faults, but the PS2 was a quality console with a great library of games. I'll be happy to hold off buying a next-gen system for another year or so, and just playing through some of the games in the PS2's back catalogue that I missed first time around.

I still play mine and it's kept me from buying any next-gen systems because...I just haven't needed to yet. They keep coming out with good titles for a system I already own.

It seems each Ps2 game that gets good reviews is "This is the Ps2's swan song!" I've read about the final good Ps2 game about 10 times on IGN. It will be around for longa time :cat:

My PS2 can be considered one of my best friends/consoles. It has always been there for me in my times of need, and the title of this thread even insults me, as someone could joke/refer to it as "Sucking".

I treat my PS2 like a pet. If it doesnt work, I slap it, but then I feel bad and apologize and were good again. I give it a good cleaning sometimes and its ok. Right now my bro has it though. He better give it back soon.:mad2: :( :cry:

The PS2 Emulation scene is really beginning to blossom. Most games are playable, which is really nifty.

PS2 is great. PCXS2 is also pretty good, but has certain delicate performance issues.

I nearly retired my PS2 when my PS3 arcade sticks worked for fighting games. That's about the only thing I kept my PS2 plugged in for, the fighters. I do have a couple of imports, but I don't play them very much.

However, with the latest PS3 update, my arcade sticks don't work with PS2 games anymore... so it's back to the PS2.

There are still a few 'big' games left to come out for it, it's not gonna go anywhere for at least a year I think.

My PS2 will be alive until I can afford a PS3 that lets me play imported PS1 and PS2 games. The PS2 has such an awesome library of RPG's (and it can play PS1 RPG's), so I love it dearly.

Oh yes, the PS2 definitely has some life left in it. As has been said, outstanding library of games, backwards-compatibility with PS1 games, importing, and so on.

I really love my PS2 as well. :love: I don't see it dying anytime soon. In fact, I can see it lasting until the PS4 and what not, whatever is around afterwards. So long as Atlus/NIS continue to make games for it.

My PS2 will stick around until I get Rogue Galaxy and Okami. After that, it might find itself in a box somewhere. :p Although, with such a huge library of great games, I'll probably find more on the cheap at EB or Gamestop to prolong its life.
