Orochimaru Vs. Voldemort

Now I'm certain many of us have noticed the parallels between these two and wondered... "who is better?"

Both have a Snake totem thing going for them, both were child prodigies, both seek revenge against the place they grew up in, both are nearly immortal, and both have a rather pedophilic obsession with certain effeminate boys in their respective stories.

So who would actually win in a battle to the death and which is actually superior as a character in a literary sense?

Considering how i think that even Rock Lee (yes the 'muggle') could beat Voldemort (and any other wizard) i'd have to go with Orochimaru

I'd have to say Orochimaru, but I think there are a few Naruto characters that would get the better of Voldemort in a fight to the death.

Seeing as a fair few of them are dead..... but when they were alive, I'd say most of them could take Voldemort and his posse alone anyway.

Considering how, without his wand, Voldemort is as strong as an average human (probably weaker than average, as he doesn't have much need for physical strength), I'd have to say Orochimaru. His Horcruxes do nothing but prevent death, and would not protect him from being beaten to a bloody pulp.

I was being specific to pretty much all of the ninja from the hidden village of sound. Dosu, Zaku, Kin, Tayuya, Kidomaru, Ukon/Sakon, That fat one (I think his name was Jiroubo or something), Kimimaru, those clan guys from the filler arc (I forget the names), and uhhh, yeah, all dead. He's running low on subordinates. Sorry about the growing pyramid.

I'm going with Orochimaru cause Voldemort is a pretty pathetic loser of a villain. Seriously, Orochimaru is a ninja so he's keen on stealth killing and deception than would take out Old Man V before he could get a word off of his death spell. Also, most of Orochimaru's techniques are designed to kill whereas Old V has one. Also, Voldemort could probably be permanetly taken down by Orichimaru's "soul transfer" jutsu as that looks to do bad things to the souls of it's victims.

Also, Orochimaru has more henchman than you can wave a stick at. He has several bases scattered across the continent and Kabuto is actually more competent than anything Old V has produced thus far.

Orochimaru can always use shadow clones for any spells thrown at it and he can pull out a sword from his tonge...which itself is a snake! And can shock Voldemort enough to reveal that HE IS A SHE (or atleast he can be) lol

hmmmm....well, with out his wand, Voldemort is powerless. Orochimaru could probobly snap it, easy. After that, Orichimaru could kill him with the nasty torture way (by slowly tightening his tongue around Voldemort's neck while ripping his brains out through his nose). Or, with a powerful little jutsu that will kill him fast. Orichimaru has alot of those...

But judging by what I just wrote, I think that Orichimaru would win.

Orichimaru whoever he is, is a drawn figure while Voldemort exists in our own world and is as set a realistic deformed human being and by the fact that Voldy can simply erase him or tear him apart on paper Voldemort wins.

Technically wizards in the Harry Potter books can use magic without their wands, it's just less focused that it is with a wand.
But there is, of course, the problem pointed out already that the instant-kill spell would have to hit. Usually when a ninja in Naruto gets hit by something it's either a clone or a replacement technique.

Orochimaru would win hands down just because of his speed; wizards in the Harry Potter series seem to just rely on magic, so they probably aren't physically capable of dodging anything that a ninja like Orochimaru could throw at them (particularly after dying a couple of times). The only conditions by which Voldemort would be likely to win is if he had either a time freezing spell or a second basilisk up his sleeve.

Voldemort has the ability to speak to and command snakes. My bet says that if they ever crossed paths they would probably strike a deal and team up.
