Does your hometown have any sister cities around the world? I figured it might be interesting for some people to learn something new today.
A list for folks here in the U.S. can be found here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sister_cities_in_the_United_States), sorted by state. The international list can be found here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_twin_towns_and_sister_cities), listed by country.
Apparently, Fresno has four sister cities:
Kōchi, Japan
Torreón, Mexico
Lahore, Pakistan
Münster, Germany

Lincoln (UK) has 3:
Neustadt An Der Weinstrasse in Germany. It is on the signpost as you leave North Hykeham and enter Lincoln City.
Port Lincoln in Australia
Tangshan in China. There is a room in The Lawns, (an old mental hospital that used to be a museum but is now a conference/meeting centre) that is named after the place. The room has the documents confirming the twinning, and the tables are covered in genuine Chinese-made tablecloths, that the Gateway to Work hoodlums keep ruining! :p I myself had my Gateway courses there.
By the way, North Hykeham, next to Lincoln city, where I used to work and where my friends live, is twinned with Denzlingen in Germany.
Lincolnshire has lots of sister cities in Germany, thanks to the links provided by the annual Christmas market.
Greenwich, London, where I am originally from has three as well: Tema in Ghana, Reinickendorf, Germany, and Maribor, Slovenia.
