Ok, I did not find this out on my own. I found it out on a guide but I cant remember where it was.
Everyone knows that there are different chain levels. The bag is level 0, the blue coin is level 1, the gold coin is level 2, and the larger gold coin is level 3. I'm not sure how many people know this or if it was already posted, but i just wanted to say this.
When you kill a monster of the same type, your battle chain goes up. After your battle chain goes up enough, you will level up a chain. Heres where the tip comes in. When you kill same type monsters, an invisible counter also goes up one, but when you pick up loot, it goes down one. Lets say you kill three monsters. you have 3 points, but the third monster drops loot. if you pick it up, your counter goes down to 2, but if you leave it, the counter stays at 3. Anywhere between 6 and 10 points from your last chain level up, or from the beginning, you will level up a chain. I have proved this myself, so its not just a myth. I hope I helped someone, but if its been said, be easy on me.:p
