I love tattoos! Such lovely permanent scarring things!
And to celebrate my love of them, I am going to get one (or three!)

I'm so excited. It's going to be a thin, painful, beautiful full-length-of-my-back tattoo in the style of Juclecia Sebine. Wahoo! And I have to wait four months, but I don't care!

So, do you have a tattoo? What is it? Did it hurt? Should I be scared?

I woke up one morning thinking I had a tatoo but really it was just chocolate. Delicous breakfast chocolate

I really don't like tattoos. There are exceptions, of course, but as a general rule. I don't like them.

And yes, piercings are better. >:D

Nope, I don't have one. I've thought of getting one from time to time, but I'm probably just too much of a chicken to actually do it.

Eh... I'm not one for permanent tattoos. I don't want to even THINK how it'll look when I'm old =/

Heck, I haven't gotten any piercings, either. And even then, I'd probably only go for the lobes and that's it =/

I like little ones, not huge great big ones that just end up looking repulisve. A little heart or star or something = win. Especially on women, too many tats on a woman just look wayy masculine.

I hope for you that you never get divorced.

I don't have any tattoo, but I want to get one of a phoenix. I just haven't found a phoenix tattoo design that I like. I might just end up drawing it myself.

our of curiosity where would you get it? i guess it depends on the pose of said firebird but still...

It would depend more of the size of the tattoo than the pose, I'd say. If I go for a smaller tattoo, I'd put it on my lower back. If it's big, it would still be on my back, but the upper part of it (like, between the shoulder blades). Somewhere that is easy to cover-up in case I meet with anti-tattoo employers.

I want it pretty detailed, so it'll probably end up between my shoulder blades. Couldn't put it on my lower back unless I managed to lose some weight again, or it would look all distorted.

BTW, its a myth that tattoos look messed up when you get older. They actually preserve the skin and look the same, just a little bit faded.

And besides, if the tattoo fades, you can always get it touched up, too. My mother just went to the tattoo parlour last week because the colours in her tattoo all disappeared, saved for the black. Now it's all colourful again, and the black isn't as faded.

yeah, you can always have them touched up and whatnot.

I'll one day have a 3/4 body suit of many tattoos that play off each other, forming a large mesh of my character and story. I will likely begin such a tattoo when I finally decide on a plan I know I'll be comfortable with for the rest of my life. I imagine I'll have begun work on the tattoo by the time I am 24.

And, also when I have money to spare.

I prefer jewellery to tattoos, since it's changeable and removable. However, looking at the pics in this thread I can say there's some damn fine ink in this place.

I want some piercings, but that'd freak Mike out. :/ He's already squeamish enough about me getting a tattoo.

I thought women were generally seen as the wusses. My man breaks all the stereotypes.

Also, if you dont like your tattoo later on in life, get a cover-up! All these myths to make people not get inked.

One day I'll probably get a smaller tattoo, or a tattoo in a place that doesn't get all nasty and warped if you get pregnant or when you're old. I like tattoos that wrap around the ankle.

Cover-ups are tricky. They have to be compatible with the existing design...insofar as a lighter color CANNOT cover a darker one. So you do still have to be careful.

If done wrong, they are just that. A mark...a blemish...but if it's done well, it can be a work of art. At least to some, anyways...others would disagree.

Ah, whatever. I don't judge people just because they have tats.

True about the color, but thats really the only compatability. And it would have to be bigger. But other then that...the sky is the limit, my friend.
