There are numerous reasons I went with tailoring.

1) I'm a cloth-wearer, so it's beneficial to me (rather, it would have been, I had I not waited until now to actually level it up).
2) You can make some kickass stuff throughout the game.
3) You come across the materials for it without picking up another profession, which is unique. You get linen, wool, silk, mageweave, rune, netherweave, etc. throughout the game with humanoid kills. It's basically that + dye + maybe a reagent + thread to make anything.
4) It helps with enchanting, because you can disenchant the items you make to level up.

You're a rogue, though, so you may find more benefit in a mining + engineering career, or skinning + leatherworking, though herbalism + alchemy is also nice.

What exactly is so wrong with Alliance? Aside from it not being Blizzard's choice of races?

Tailoring provides some of the best caster gear until t5/t6 gear. Frozen Shadoweave is excellent for warlocks and shadow priests until t5 becomes available and even then it is still only a sidegrade. It is the same for Mooncloth for priests and Spellfire for fire specced Mages.

As a rogue, depending on whether or not you are raiding, you'd probably want to go for Herbalism/Alchemy simply because of haste pots and the like. If you plan on raiding then you would probably want to consider leatherworking since they provide some of the dps gear available at the moment.

I have also seen, on both horde and alliance:

Hunters that do not know how to use traps properly or at all.
Warlocks that think their voidwalker can tank endgame instances.
Mages specced as arcane thinking it is still the best dps spec available. (get over yourselves, fire is the best damage output.)
Warriors that don't know how to keep aggro on multiple targets.
PALADINS THAT DO NOT KNOW HOW TO KEEP AGGRO ON MULTIPLE TARGETS. THAT IS YOUR JOB.
Resto druids that use regrowth. No, you are a bad player. It is now more mana efficient but before the patch and the change, lifebloom was the best heal available to a druid.

Anyway, both sides have horrible players. Both sides have good players.

I will agree that, for some purposes, horde are better. Tauren Warriors make the best tanks because of one of their racials. Undead Spriest/Rogue are unstoppable in 2v2s because of one of their racials. Trolls provide insane dps because of one of their racials. Need I say more?

Anyway, Kael is a piece of cake one heroic. It's actually kinda pathetic. And I'm playing Low off and on. Just got back on after a little bit and I'm ready to level. You guys need to fix your schedule!

Avarice: On my home server, there are 1-3 horde that like running into Ironforge and successfully killing everyone in there. Mage/Mage/Priest but usually it's just the mages. It's actually pretty funny to talk to them on vent or IRC while they do it. Nice guys, except the whole camping a city thing.

Let me paint you horde lovers a picture with words>

9:30ish am my level 20 Human Warlock on a PvP server is trying to get Succy and so has to go to the barrens near the crossroads, to speak to that guy (cant remember his name) que sighting from a level 11 horde shammy he doesnt attack me, instead he calls his level 60 (this is pre tbc) Epiced geared friends and informs them of my pressence in "his" lands and thus they come crashing down from org to gank me, then they sit on my body waiting for me to respawn, one of them happens to be a rogue and as soon as I res I yet again get ganked and these fuckers continue to camp my corpse for over 2 hours when all I did was try to get my succy they ganked me so fast I didnt have a chance to use my hearth, now I could understand it if I had attacked one of their players but why oh why do they just sit there killing me over and over I had to wait till about 11:30 for my high level friends to log on to come kill the assholes who were killing me. THIS is why I think horde are scum and as such the only way to get my on a horde character is if I had a whole bunch of friends to come play with me. oh and btw I no longer play on any PvP servers alli or horde otherwise.

The difference is that if that were an Alliance and you were Horde, the Alliance wouldn't have to call on his high-level friend. The Alliance would simply always have a high-level there with him, because every Alliance gets assigned a high-level to babysit them as soon as they start a new character.

I usually keep my rogue somewhere near my corpse when I'm killed, the only difference is, on my server the Horde to alliance ratio is like 1 : 4 and I think it's like 79% horde versus the VERY small ammount of alliance. So when I do get ganked, I usually am like "OMG THE ONE PERSON WHO COULD GANK ME GANKED ME... SMAAASSHHH."

I was leveling my troll preist in Stonetalon mountains and a druid killed me, so I got on my rogue, hunted down the druid, killed her, then made my way to Astranaar, then to Auberdine, then to Azure Watch, then got some friends to come with and ran around Exodar for a while.
And that was just because I was killed. xD

There was a funny glitch there for a while, the gaurds like.. walking mapping was off and if you aggro'd them in this certain area, it would aggro the one's on the floor above and they would walk off the top floor and fall slowly to the bottom, it looked like it was raining dranei. xD And then when it was done raining, there would be like 30 dranei gaurds walking in circles. <3

When I was leveling my Nelf druid in Southshore, a hunter decided to kill me. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and just let it go until he killed me three more times. Then I got on my mage, killed him 5 times and then got on my druid. He killed me once more and I had enough. Jumped on my mage, killed him 2-3 more times then got together 5-6 people and raided Tarren Mill, killing anything that was moving in the area. Then I got a full raid group (40 people) and moved on to take down Undercity. Good times were had. The hunter didn't kill my druid anymore.

What would you like to know?

Lightning Overload + Lightning Capacitor + Lighting Bolt = Hella Fun. Getting a proc on all of those at the same time, then getting crits on all of those, usually results in a very dead mob as the hits total around 7.5k-8k damage in about half a second. Pair that with almost never running out of mana given the proper totem usage, having an elemental tank or DPS every 20 minutes, and the ability to Ankh and you have even more fun.

I actually killed Dr. Boom using Wrath of Air Totem, Mana Spring Totem and chain casting Lightning Bolt spam. With around ~10k mana I managed to kill him with only running out of mana twice (he has around 600k health).

I am still messing around with the right situational totem placements and the proper DPS rotation but I'm having a lot of fun doing both, unlike the boredom I had with my mage (5 scorch, 8 fireball, 1 scorch, 1 fire blast, 8 fireball, etc -_-). So yeah. Fun.

If I'm still in PVP Gear with a 40/0/21 spec, look at it later. I just switched back to elemental dps gear and 41/0/20 spec. I'm also still working on some of the gear and whatnot.

With Totem of Wrath and Wrath of Air Totem I have around 22.03% chance to crit and ~982 spell damage, reaching upwards of 1200 with a full stack of Aura of the Crusader and Light's Wrath.

Elemental shamans are easy to respec into pvp too. Basically the only thing you change is Totem of Wrath for Nature's Swiftness. And then you basically stand in the back and LBx3/CLx1 spam.

Nobody, really. Race doesn't facter into the thing too much - your stats aren't different enough after the first few levels, and everyone has some sort of useful Racial ability, though some are still more useful than ohers.

xD Actually it wasn't as much me that played to much. Was kind of the other parentin the house, I won't mention any names. It got to the point where WoW was almost riding as #1 in the house, tied with the baby.

It's nice to hear people OKAY with the kind of decision that I made, the whole family before WoW thing, because when my husband does sign on WoW it's either "Omg I can't believe she just left us like that" or "She could have given me her characters atleast".

If anything it's just a break, I have no intentions of getting my characters back though, so if I do go back playing I'll just be leveling a new chara. =D

I just don't understand the point but I do understand why people do it. Questing just offers a hell of a lot more experience than repeatedly doing instances. A dungeon here and there is fine, because leveling by itself is kinda boring and repetitive. But I can't imagine going the whole 80 levels as resto. My druid was feral 1-70, resto immediately after dinging and then boomkin 70-80. Resto was really fun at 70 imo. I've solo-healed the last boss in H-Gundrak a moonkin though, which was fun I guess. Just MORE BUTTONS.

Same with Resto Druids, they pwn for grinding, and Resto Shaman? pfft they're basically immortal.

The only healer I wouldn't want to solo play as is a Holy Paladin, but I wouldn't go Ret either..for a Paladin the best spec is Prot, hands down.

Never said hard or bad. I've leveled three classes (druid, mage, hunter) and they all have hardly any downtime whatsoever nowadays. It's just been my experience that leveling as holy isn't as easy as leveling as a dps-based class. My boomkin dominated everything up until Storm Peaks (latter half of 79) in a few wraths and was rarely ever touched so healing never factored in. The extra damage and crit-based talents were nice additions rather than most healing-related ones. Just me, whatever works for you.

I can see this as being true if you add "a good group" to the requirements. Most Northrend instances are pretty easy and, in my experience, around 30-45 minutes if you have a group that knows what they are doing. I still prefer questing with another person I seem to get a lot more experience that way in around the same amount of time. In Outlands, for instance, a friend and I spent a couple hours in both HP and Zangar and gained 2 and a half levels from each.

Also gold is easier as hell to make. Don't really need quest gained gold.

Yeah I'm wanting to level my paladin up too, but I'm waiting until the Exorcism changes go into effect so it'll be a lot less mindless.

I hate teaching Naxxramas to complete retards. Half of the group doing less than 2K DPS on Maexxna and a Flash of Light/Holy Shock facerolling Holy Paladin makes for an agonizing experience. It's like we were trying to five man it last night. :aimcry:

One time we were pushing a 17 minute kill, since all of our DPS died from the safe zone 1 to safe zone 2 transition. I eventually got sick of the fight, stopped healing, and ate a slime burst. I wouldn't know about last night though, our DPS couldn't kill web sprays on Maexxna. After four attempts we had to have one of our healers slap hit gear on and do all of the work, and we still didn't clear.

Aww, And no, like for some reason no one can judge where the zone's where. On our first guild clear of naxx, I tanked heigan for2 minutes because everyone but one heals had died. Twice. I'm a rogue. > >

It's usually not that bad if you have a decent group. But I've noticed most people in naxx epics (henceforth known as lololpics) get overly cocky and try to pull everything.

In one group we had a shaman healer. The other had a priest. The priest couldn't outheal the damage, which is okay I guess. But he was cocky as fuck at the same time.

The shaman was just TERRIBLE. And there was a warlock in that group that was complaining about me not being stacked up. When I was standing right next to him while being at minimum range for being a hunter.

He actually told me to move closer.

So I meleed.

- Dying to Anub'Rekhan's impale.
- Flash of Light/Holy Shock doing ~50% of overall healing.
- Never using Beacon of Light.
- Dying to the Heigan dance.
- Not healing a single person during Loatheb.
- Dying to Frogger.
- Dropping Grobbulus clouds on raid, standing in Grobbulus clouds and attempting to heal.
- Blowing up the negative side with a positive charge on Thaddius.
- Dying to Ledge Boss on second Thaddius attempt.
- Mark of Rivendare x 8 "pesmerga needed a heal!"
- Taking 250,000 unavoidable frost damage from Sapphiron's deep breath by not moving behind an ice block less than 5 yards away.
- Not healing targets affected by Frost Blast on three separate occasions.
- Standing next to Lelei during a Mana Detonation. "The skull went away, I didn't know what it was for!"
- Asking to be replaced after wipe #6.
- Going offline after wipe #9, throwing a hissy fit after being replaced.
- At this point, we flawlessly kill Kel'Thuzad, not a single death.
- Bloodymari has left the guild.

I think the only way for me to complete Ulduar is to server transfer, as bad as it sounds. Progression on Demon Soul is HORRIBLE, since it's VERY VERY VERY PvP focused.
