Anybody still playing the best shooter of all times? If yes, give your favourite 3 weapons, favourite vehicle type, 3 favourite classes and a link to your profile on BF2S.com - The Numbers Behind Battlefield 2 (http://bf2s.com/).

I totally love the game and hate the community!

I respect the game for what it does (vehicles, big maps, lots of players, ranking system), but I can't stand the infantry combat and waiting to get inside a vehicle other than a jeep is tedious. Not to mention the jerk team-killers you have to deal with in pub games. I install the game every so often 'cause I like flying around and bombing stuff, but it grows old pretty fast.

If you got together a group of competent people to play I would join in the fun, though.

Man, I haven't played this game in ages and ages. I liked it though. Never was terribly good, but I had a few sweet runs back in the day.

Best maps are Oman and Karkand.

Nah, Karakand and Wake Island. As well as some SAS maps.:p

I actually quite like the infantry. You can be very versatile and manoeuvrable with it, as long as you have the right equipment. I don't really like the fact that making points as an engineer or a spec. ops is so awfully tedious though.

Of course, being an average player, and absolutely rubbish as an aviator, my stats are only so-so. I'm not sure that I really want to belong to the people who played the game long enough to become the ueber-pwner class. Anyhow, here are come: maxgrins Gunnery Sergeant Stats, BF2S.com (http://bf2s.com/player/93429407/) (it's quite buggy and quite a number of data there is totally wrong though:mad:)

Anybody, except Yamaneko, feels like meeting up sometime and creating a EOFF squad? Sounds like fun to me and playing in a group with decent coordination would be a refreshing experience.

I haven't played it in a few months, but I always loved it. I usually didn't have much trouble finding a decent server with people who were pretty good and coordinated which helped. Sometimes it would take a few tries, but it was always well worth it. I was also never one to care for being in vehicles too much. Unless I needed to move across the map quickly, I preferred to go it on foot. Vehicles are a major target when you're in them, and I was never really good enough to do too much with them. Especially aircraft which I could barely fly to be honest. One of the biggest downsides on my end was not having a mic which makes coordination more difficult, but I think the squad aspect of the game helps alleviate that.

If anyone around here was interested in getting some EOFF play going I think I could be persuaded to download the latest patch and join in.

That's true, sitting an mounted MG is just like asking for sniper-fire in your direction, sitting inside is asking for all anti-tanks to mob you and flying usually ends pretty quickly anyway.

I really like flying transports though. Not so much gunships, but Blackhawks and co are a hell lot of fun to fly.

I play, mostly play medic. I don't really have a favorite map. I hate vehicles. except choppers.

Play a couple of rounds with us? It would be pretty fun if we gathered up 6 people for a squad.
