It's still a ways from September, but I never want to hear a word about school once July starts, so I may as well start the thread now :P

....aaaaaaanyway, they NEVER get my classes right, and when they do, they end up being full and I can't get in anyway, but this is what I signed up for. I'll be in eleventh grade btw...

Pre-AP Algebra II
English III
US History
Webmastering (I tried this past year, but it was full)
Chemistry
Art I (ALWAYS full, this is the first time I've tried signing up, though)
Textile Marketing/Apparel (Sewing class. I've always wanted to learn.)

I really hope art works...I'll most likely be put in Theater Arts if I don't get into Art, and I tried that in eighth grade. The only things I can really do besides those are Band and Choir. I don't like the instrument I can play and I can't sing.

It didn't go too well.

Aaaaaanywho, what'll you be doing.

Well next year I'll be in Year 10, so I'll be starting my GCSE's. We had to choose 4 things that we want/need to take and out of the rubbish selection that there is, I chose:

French
History
Art
Psychology
I wanted to do Textiles but they're not having it as an option next year. :(

And I have to do all the core subjects like: English, Maths, Science, Re :mad2: , etc...

I don't know what my timetable is yet though...

Senior year at an American high school! (12th grade...I'm graduating May 27th of '08! ;_; Man that went fast) Here's the classes my counselor said I have on my schedule (gonna re-arrange when I go to pay fees in August):
Instrumental Music
French 3 Honors
Psychology
Pre-Calculus
English 12 AP (yay, college credit for this one!)

I have no idea, actually. I haven't gotten my schedule yet. :p

Me neither. :( Being in middle school, I don't have too many options. Luckily, I'll be in 8th grade. Almost out! My school district doesn't have advanced classes for middle schools (except for electives), however, the classes are already hard for everybody. These are the classes I signed up for.

8th grade math (I didn't pass the algebra qualifying test. I'm a dumbass.)

8th grade Science (I'm not to great at science either)

8th grade Language Arts (I'll pwn everybody in this class)

American History (I can pull a strong 95)

Advanced Orchestra (I'll pwn. I make 100's every six weeks in orchestra)

BCIS (some computer and business class that gets you high school credit)

I'm not so hyped about the Religion. It sort of fails in more way than one.

Religion classes can be so fun though (with a good prof)!

Fall Semester:

First Level Japanese
Hinduism & Buddhism
Intro to East Asian Culture: Japan
Mahayana Buddhism
Mass Culture & Post War Japan*

*I am taking this class with some friends and it would complete my East Asian minor, but I am debating on taking History and Sexuality 2 or to see if there will be an empty spot in Chinese Religions (class is full at the moment).

Winter Semester:

First Level Japanese
East Asian Buddhism
Gender & Sexuality in Hinduism
Pure Land Buddhism

Note: I am only taking four courses this semester since Japanese is from what I heard intense as well as my two Buddhism courses are 400 level and I have yet to take 400 level courses so I am scared about their course load (400 level is about the highest/second highest level you can take at an undergraduate level at my university).

Also, since Japanese is a hard course, I am taking it as a Pass/Fail which means that I will be graded on whether I pass or fail the course and either way it will not affect my GPA (even if i do awesome in it). I can do this for 10% of my credits and I am taking 120 credits in total, Japanese itself being 9.

Yamaneko

You'd be dead on the quarter system. You'll be lying in the dark crying in a fetal position on the semester system. Good luck.
