Okay, so I was in the Pharos at Ridorana, exploring the Subterra-Umbra place, when I ran across a Magick Pot. I was utterly mortified. What do I do? I tried giving it an Elixir, and a Potion, but then I got swarmed by Necrofiends and Dead Bones, leading to a Game Over.

So, EoFF, how does one defeat a Magick Pot in FFXII?

P.S. If anyone says smoke it like my older sister did, I might just commit sepukku..

I encountered one myself the other day (yesterday, to be precise). I first tried hacking away at it, only to run away almost getting owned by the pot. Then I returned and gave it an elixir, and it was easy as pie.

Give it an elixir and then attack it.

It is so far in the game that you should have finished the licenses you need for each character. So don't bother up wasting elixirs.

You can steal the Elixir back during the fight.

The only reason I'd fight them is to complete the Bestiary.

They are freaking annoying when they are running away from you and your other characters are getting mobbed, though.

Depends what you mean "licenses you need".

I wanted everyone to have full license boards when I'd finished so a couple of magick pot fights came in handy. I still needed it to give all my reserve people arise and other high lv magicks too. Part of this may be because I used embroidered tippets rather than golden amulets. I wanted to be lv 99 rather than have full license boards early on.

You could have given golden amulets to the reserve characters while the active ones used the embroidered tippets...thats what I did
