Ixion Made Easy

I'm not sure if this is old news, but I thought I'd add my 2 cents here:

You know how Ixion can appear in any mapped area of Pharos Subterra? I learned of this before going to Subterra, so I explored just the inner ring of the first sublevel and then took up the hunt. It took me three trips but he eventually appeared on that level, since he didn't have any choice about where to appear.

Now the actual fight was straightforward: Rubber Suits, Bubble Belts and Ally: HP < 60% = X-Potions.

So...What are we supposed to talk about?

Ixion was easy. And I thought he only appeared in the interior ring of Penumbra...I guess I was wrong.

The official strategy guide says that his HP is cut in half if he appears in the inner ring, which would seem to imply that he can appear in any room.

This is not intended so much a discussion as an observation. Ever since my very bitter experience with Pandora's Box in FFVII, I've striven to save others the time and trouble whenever possible.
