This is so hard to decide. Personally I believe Square made 3 great RPG's on psx that outdid their great predecessors in almost every category (opinion, people). Recently my thoughts on IX have dropped for lack of originality. I'm really starting to appreciate XII, but I dont think I'd put it on their level. for some reason. X is also tough because i still feel like it's too new.

At the same time IV's story is epic, V has music that really reaches out and touches you, and VI is a really moving game.

But to me it's between VII and VIII but, like in the other thread, I really can't decide.

Because otherwise this game barely will get votes, I'll vote for Final Fantasy III (both NES and DS). At the moment it's my favourite game anyway, it has risen above IX (which I thought no game would ever be able to).

FF III (DS) needs more love. Everybody seems to pick on III DS. Like the NES was perfect or something (well, it was, but III DS perfected the perfection). >_>

VII was mediocre to me, and X had me half asleep, too predictable.
IV, VI and IX are my favorites, I've yet to play XII and VIII.

Best FF? No such thing. Every FF has its flaws, so there's no way you can say one is definitively better than the others.

That being said, X has the fewest flaws, and is the closest to perfection any Final Fantasy game will ever come. :love:

That's your opinion. In my eyes, X has a lot of flaws. That's why there can never be a best FF game, because everyone has their own preferences when it comes to games.

A majority of people like it better. What? Were you expecting VII to win? That FF is almost so underrated. It's getting there gradually.

Just because FFVI isn't on some PSX and it's on a system like Nintendo AND isn't 3D doesn't mean its aweful. My favorite game is FFVI. FFVI > Every FF besides IX, V, IV, and III. X is good, too. I have never played XII. I want to.
