What do you think of Spider-Man 2 and X-Men 2? I think they're overrated, don't get me wrong they're good movies but I don't think they're better than the original films. I think they're on par with the originals though.

I just wish I could say the same for Spider-Man 3 and X-Men 3...one was a so-so film and the other was pure garbage IMHO.

I don't think X-Men 3 was all that bad because I didn't think the first two were all that great. I think they were all just decent popcorn movies.

Spider-Man 3 was awesome. It's just the internet people who can't tell when something is intentionally cheesy. They're too uptight.

X-Men 2 was pretty ok as a popcorn movie. Spider-Man 2 was really good, though I think it could have used more Spider-Man and less Peter Parker.

spider-man 2 was rather disappointing. I actually saw x-2 first, but I think I prefer the first one anyways. It was still pretty good though.

What disappointed you about Spiderman 2?

Mostly all the comic book cliches they used in it :P the first one didn't seem nearly so much like a comic book, so I wasn't expecting it. But I was able to enjoy it for the third one.

Both were equally fantastic, they really set the bench mark on how comic book movies should be done. I'd only put Superman II ahead of them.

If you expect anything more from a comic movie then what Spiderman 2 gave you, then you are just being greedy.

Are you talking to me or Roto13?

I thought Spidey 2 was absurdly over-rated. I can't even count the number of times somebody told me that it's "so much better than the first one; you'll love it!" Bull.

X-Men 2, on the other hand, was the best comic book movie ever. Period.

Agreed on this point. Spidey 3 was the best in the series as far as I'm concerned.

Spider-Man 2 was really good, though I think it could have used more Spider-Man and less Peter Parker.

Not a chance. Peter is what keeps the movies from being two hours of non-stop action. Without him, there is no story, and no humanity to the character. And without the relateable everyman persona there is no connection with the audience. Having any more of Spidey in that film would have been overdoing it if you ask me.

Anyway, I prefer Spider-Man 2 though both arer amazing and better than the originals. X-Men 2 in particular was a huge improvement over the first one if you ask me, and given my adoration of that movie that's saying something.

I thought X-Men 2 was better than Spider-Man 2 but SM 3 blows XM 3 out of the water.

I think Spider Man 2 is the best out of the trilogy, but I probably rank X Men 2 higher than Spider Man 1. Spiderman 3 was better than X Men 3 though.
