I have 12 Espers and I talked to that guy in Jahara a long time ago, and I have done every hunt except Yazimat....where the hell is it?

Warp to the Henne Mines, then go North to where you fought Tiamat, then go west and you should know where to go from there. You don't need to accept the Yazmat hunt.

Be prepared, Darkja can cause death instantly, and it's his opening move.

I gave up on Zodiark, Darkja was a pain in the ass. His reflect and immunity didn't help much either.
It's so silly, dark absorbing armour doesn't help at all, it like absorbs darkja RANDOMLY. So yeah, maybe if I play 12 again I'll try it again but not for a while.

Yeah like he said its random I just got lucky most of the time in that battle but I did always hated the Palings.

PS. Quickenings are considered Physical attacks. Don't make the same mistake I did.

It should be a large isolated chunk of land, that should help or look on gamefaqs.com for an accurate map.

BTW, since we're on the subject of the Henne mines extension, what's the point of the Feywood entrance? It's a dead end blocked by two mine carts. Is there a way to get to Zodiark that way?

Still can't find him do the gatesat pithead b and c have anyhting to do with it?

Pithead C does. It looks like you have to hit the switch there, go south then east, then hit the switch near the Feywood exit and head east into the next area. The switches control the gates nearby.

Nope, it's just a random dead end.

Can't you get *out* that way afterward, though? By unlocking the gate from the other side?

My idea was throwing the switch so the gate directly in front of the mine cart is raised and then going to the Feywood and then try to push the mine cart further in. But it seemed a long shot and would waste a lot of time if I was wrong.

So do you mean there is a way to leave the Henne Mines through the Feywood? Or are you talking about the shortcut out of the boss fight area?

Lawr

I was gonna ask that too, but I didn't know how to make it simple so I wouldn't confuse myself.

So do you mean there is a way to leave the Henne Mines through the Feywood?I thought there was one, but I could be mistaken.

You were right, Big D! :)

Turns out the mine cart that blocks the exit disappears after Zodiark is defeated. There's a wall switch next to where the cart was, so you can come in from the Feywood side and hit the switch to open the door, if need be.

I haven't confirmed if the exit from the boss chamber can be used as an entrance now. Anyways this is very helpful in my quest for that Brave Suit.

BTW, where did the mine cart go? Did a Hecteyes eat it or something?

Ah, so there *are* quicker routes back into the secret sections of the mine... there are some good high-level monsters for training in there, and - more importantly - some reportedly valuable treasure chests. According to GameFaqs, the Zodiac Spear's available there if you missed its first appearance. Not having to plough through several screens of blood-thirsty uber-bats should make the expeditions that much easier...

Well, two Zodiac Spears never hurt no-one ;)

The treasure has a 1/1000 drop rate though. :eep:

Ah! I wondered the same thing about the drop carts, but after defeating Zodiark and leaving through the gate you open after the battle I didn't want to go in the Henne Mines ever again! :P

So it's an entrance after all. Fancy that.

I hear you.

Although there's some nice Treasure in there and it's one of the best places to level up to 99.

It probably is the best.

Got me a Brave Suit! :D

Interestingly, the gate to Zodiark boss fight arena is also unlocked from the outside. A lot like the Ore Separation room after defeating the boss there.

So you can go in through the Feywood, flee through two rooms and get into the chests through the boss area. It's a lot faster than starting from the Ore Separation room.
