Okay, I've used Firefox for about a year. But two monthes ago, it just stopped working. I'd click on it, then it'd open, but it won't load. So I click again and it freezes. So I have to open task manager and end the process. I thought my computer was the problem, so I just stopped using it for a week. But then a week became two monthes. I really missed my Firefox (seriously, IE sucks), so I uninstalled it and installed it again. I don't know what to do, it just won't work. What's wrong?

By the way, I attached pictures of how it stops working.

Help please?

You should completely reinstall it, ergo:

Uninstall Firefox
Delete the Firefox directory/folder (default: C://Program Files/Firefox or something like it)
Delete the Firefox directory/folder in My Documents
Run a search for all files containing the word "Firefox" in them and see if you need those files, if not delete or rename them
Run a virus scan with Dr. Web (never hurts)
Run TuneUp Utilities 2007 and see what they say after the maintainance
Install Firefox again
Tell us if it worked

While your machine is booting hit F8 and go into safe mode w/ networking and try to launch firefox like that. Get back to us with the results.

Okay, I'm on safe mode right now. Tried opening it, but it still doesn't work. :/

Edit: I tried it again on safemode and it worked. I switched back, and it doesn't work. Wierd.

Yeah disable the windows firewall and any other firewall software you may have.

Okay, I disabled all the firewalls. I don't think that was the issue, cause it still wouldn't work. :\

There is some program or service that is running that is messing this up as evident by it working in safe mode.

Please give a list of programs at start up for starters. You can find this out by going to run and putting in the command MSCONFIG. The list will be on the last tab.

Yes there will be bizarre names.

You have some useless things on there, but none of them appear to be dangerous from my overview
