Bebop is my favorite. I could never find one flaw with the series. The entire thing was magnificent.

Paranoia Agent was another amazing one.

Though out of newer anime, Histories Strongest Disciple Kenichi (Which isn't liscenced right now) is definately looking amazing. 14 episodes in.

Nuu! CN butchered Tenchi a ton to make it suitable for younger audiences. 80% of the show is jokes about sex and Ryoko and Ayeka getting naked, so you can imagine that a lot was cut out.


Let's see. Now I must choose between Samurai Champloo, Paranoia Agent, Elfen Lied, and Evangelion. Such decisions! Imagine you're on an island, can only bring one, yadda yadda...

You know, I think Samurai Champloo really tops my list. I'm one of the few people who liked it even better than Cowboy Bebop (which I also loved). It has everything I like in a show. :>

Psychotic took pleasure in closing my thread down, so I'll speak my thoughts here.

Gantz is good, the ending was a poor cliffhanger for the first season, but a couple of the deaths really do hurt you, I don't know why but I just felt like crying when I saw them die. It was emotional, intense and unexpected. They didn't hold back or refrain from anything, it was far from the perfect ending, but a more realistic one at best.

Azumanga is indeed an amazing series, I'll give you that. However, it's not a sin to enjoy other series even more :)

Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann is quickly becoming one of my favourites. I have said this a few times before, but each episode just gets better and better. I've been sitting on a post about it for quite some time, but I'm waiting for the show to end to gather some sensible thoughts about it. (Right now I'd just be sputtering nonsense out of sheer awe and adrenaline.) Super Robot fans, GAINAX fans, anime fans in general--look out for it.

It is pretty sick (by several definitions of the word). It was one of the very few shows of the summer season that caught my eye. It's a bit of a pain to have to pause to read the stuff on the chalkboards, but sometimes it's pretty funny. In one of the episodes there's a chalkboard reference to my current fave anime, Gurren-Lagann. ("Use your (moe) drill to break through the heavens!" Spoofs Lucky Star as well, but LuckyStar is faaar from my favourite.)

If you like the dark humour style of this show, you might want to check out 'Welcome to the NHK/NHK ni Youkoso' as well.
