I recently blocked a person on the MSN that I don't like any more, but I still don't want him to be able to tell that I've blocked him.
Is he able to see that I've done it?

I thought that once you were blocked, the person blocking would have a mark by the nick, but the blockee merely sees the other person as offline all the time. So, I'm fairly sure that they would not know.

<_< That's pretty much how it works.

If you also deleted them, you'll drop off their list of people that have them on their contact lists. That's in the settings. If not, he'll just see you as offline forever, and unless he's a total idiot, he'll figure out that you blocked him by the fact that you're always offline.

and if you two were somehow both invited to a large conversation, he can tell.

And if someone he/she knew saw you as online, while the blocked person saw you as offline, he would know. Why does it matter anyway? If you don't like him, why should you try to hide the fact that you've blocked him? Not too keen on confrontations? :p
