Gif's in sigs

Hey, just wondering.. i've seen a couple of sigs out there that include gif images..Do you know how so? i've been trying to do it myself but, no luck for me!

What are you asking exactly? How to make animated GIFs?

You put GIF images in your signature exactly the same way as you put JPG or PNG images in there. Host the image or get it hosted and put something like this into your signature:

Oh, I get it now. GIF uploading is disabled for peon users. I guess the only option is to get it hosted then.

Yeah, if you're asking how to put the sig on, it's the same as putting up a JPG or PNG.

If you're asking how to *make* an animated sig... that's a whole other thing. Despite the fact that mine is animated, I can't remember how the heck I did it. I made it over a year ago and have hardly touched an image editing program since.

You can do animations in GIMP, which is a free program. There's a tutorial of it here (http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Simple_Animations/), it may help.

Just ask an administrator. I spent a day as an 'administrator' when Shlupquack played a prank on everybody. I personally found the day to be surreal -- people were up in arms in the help forum, saying 'wtf is this' and 'the sky is falling'.

It makes me realise that I can't ever hold a staff position at the forums.

title is useful if you want text to show up, but if you don't have alt it's not VALID.

Ohh... now I get it. We misunderstood each other all along. I was talking about Yams "title" as "What kind of cat was it?" and "Administrator", you were talking about the html element. No wonder I didn't understand a word of it.:tongue:
