View Full Version : Can you use an American SNES even if your country uses PAL?

We use the PAL system in my country, and I'm pretty sure that Americans use NTSC.
Now I've considered buying an American SNES, because I've heard of this guy who actually did play on such a console in Europe.

Can you somehow use the NTSC system in countries that use PAL?

I'd think you'd need some kind of video and power converter in order to hook them up, but it's feasible.

Most TV's in Europe nowadays except NTSC signals, if yours doesnt buy a RGB cable.

Right now I'm using a NA copy of Final Fantasy 6, and I play it by using a converter.
This converter makes the menu screens turn pitch black pretty often, so will this problem still exist were I to use a video converter?
