WHY ISN'T THERE A THREAD ABOUT THIS FANTASTIC MOVIE?

Oh goodness, I can't even tell you how much this movie made me laugh, made me awww, made me so freakin' hungry. It was funny and charming and beautifully done. Pixar delivers yet again.

If you are a foodie, you will love this movie.

I gotta say, there were a few scenes with the rats in the kitchen that totally grossed me out. But otherwise, they did a great job of making it believable that a rat could be a passionate and talented chef.

Favorite quote from the movie came from Anton Ego, the food critic and "villain" of the movie.

"I don't like food, I love it. If I don't love it, I don't swallow."

Hee.

It looks okay. I can't imagine when I would ever see it. Perhaps this weekend? Yes, that'll do, Pig, that'll do. I doubt it'll be as good as Finding Nemo. That movie was an orgy in the eyes.

I can't imagine me seeing this, despite the reviews it's getting.

I don't particularly like animated "children's" films, and although Pixar puts out movies that are undoubtedly worlds better than any of the other animated fodder being put out every weekend it seems, I don't necessarily care for their stuff too much either.

That said, Ratatouille was one of the best films I've seen this year. Worthy of every ounce of praise it has received. It transcends "animated film," and it is not a kids movie, even if it was forced to be marketed as one. It's a movie for anyone, and a great one at that.

I fully agree with you, Miriel. Though, I don't know if I would go so far as to consider myself a "<A href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feedee">foodie</A>"

Ouch!

I went and saw it with some friends a while back. I don't think anyone actually wanted to go see the movie, but we did anyway. The movie was surprisingly awesome; it's Pixar's best work ever, hands down.

At first I wasn't sure if I was going to see it, but after hearing the good reviews and reading this thread, I think I will. I'm not sure if it's still in my theater though xD Hasn't it been out for a few weeks now?

It is great! I just saw "No Reservations" with a similar theme but adult oriented and I gotta say I enjoyed Ratatouille a lot more.

I've seen some great reviews from it, but I'll rather watch it when it comes out on DVD.

The previews were all meant for this film. They had even a mini show with an alien abducting a guy. Really funny but nothing to do with the movie or previews. :D

Then the movie was great. Nice jokes and stuff.

And yeah, that opening animation short was fantastic.

Thank you both for epic lulz :D

As for the movie, I'd love to see it, but Pixar really, really hates the UK, so it's not showing up here until the 12th of October. So fuck it. I'll either buy the DVD or not bother at all, 'cause I ain't putting up with that crap when a freaking translation isn't even necessary.

I want to see this movie so badly.

I like myself good, professionally made food. I am by no means picky when 5-star chefs use an ingredient the right way. :greenie:

Unless he used mayo or relish. :(
