I love Utada's music more and more with each release. These two songs have a lot of dance element to it, which reminds me of her English Exodus album, but with a more mature sound, I suppose. She actually uses the beat of the chorus of her songs on the Exodus album in part of Kiss & Cry, which is pretty cool. I think she's one of the only artists that I'm into that just gets better and better with every album.

I think my favorite is Beautiful World because I like sing the BEAAAUTIFUL BOO-OOY part out loud. :p

She... err... makes Kingdom Heart songs... so I guess she's pretty good. :p

But one of the reasons I was drawn to the game was because of her beautiful voice.

Both songs are really catchy, and I love Hotel Lobby, so I especially like Kiss & Cry for being similar. Fly Me To The Moon is a nice addition, too.

Utada never disappoints. =D

Ouch!

I like her music a lot. It's been a while since I've listened to any of her stuff, though.

I'm excited for Rebuild.

Her "In Other Words" rendition is the best of the new stuff, I think.

I love her. =]
I think she's an amazing singer.
She dominated the Kh songs, and I don't think anyone could have done it better. =D

The reason this single is out, and the reason "Fly Me to the Moon/In Other Words" is on there is because this is the single collection for the upcoming "Rebuild of Evangelion (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9M5F2Yr0NEw)" movie. "Fly Me to the Moon" was the ending song for the Evangelion series, and Utada is performing it, along with other songs, for the movie.

I haven't heard the Beautiful World song yet, but now that I know it's out I'll look for it.

As I had not yet heard of Rebuild (I usually don't find out about anything like that until someone tells me, and I don't know anyone else personally who has ever seen NGE), that news is infinitely better than Utada Hikaru releasing new music. The fact that she did the theme for the movie and the trailer is a nice bonus.

Her version of Fly Me to the Moon is pretty awesome, though.

She's awesome! She's my favorite, along with Aya Matsuura!

I like Hikari (of course) and Keep Tryin'.

I'm totally with you, Rye. I wasn't a huge fan over her pre-Deep River, but since then everything just keeps getting better. Especially after she finally broke out of her shell and really experimented with music on Exodus.

This single rocks my socks.

I love Hotel Lobby.

I heard Beautiful World and thought it was damn good, I've yet to have the time to seek out Kiss&Cry.

Still, Flavour of Life is my favourite of Utada's new stuff.

Been listening to these songs a lot recently. I'm rather enjoying her rendition of "Fly Me to the Moon," I wasn't a fan of the original Eva version. I tended to prefer the Sinatra version, and even then it wasn't my favorite by a long shot.

I love Utada Hikaru's songs! Though, I dont know the new ones! I have to listen. But I first listen to her in KH1 and I love it, from there I heard her musics and Im still keeping to hear it. I think her songs are very mature like she. Maybe she is more known and respected then Koda Kumi herself, no? lol

Off-Topic: Well, Utada Hikaru is obviously more respected than Koda Kumi because of the fact that Koda Kumi has that ero kakkoi image going on ("sexy/slutty" in other words) and a lot of people dont like it... that said, Koda Kumi is actually the biggest selling singer at the moment in Japan...because she works hard & is always putting herself out there... I guess she proves that sex does sell & also that working hard pays off.

Back on topic: I agree with what you said Rye, Utada Hikaru is by far one of my favourite Japanese singers & I think that her music gets better as she gets older. She writes from what she experiences and she's not afraid to experiment with her music and adapt it to what she likes. I adore Kiss&Cry & I'm getting into Beautiful world more now just from listening to it. Its growing on me. I'm enjoying her stuff a lot at the moment because of her RnB edge..

I personally love her voice too, it makes me feel calm & really suits the songs that she sings.

I do have to say though, that her Deep River era is STILL my favourite.
