Either hold your breath for a long enough amount of time to reset your duodenum, or drink water.

Neither are working D:

Hiccups are like a plague from god.

At school, this guy in my class was hiccuping for three days straight and at one point stopped breathing, so he went to a doctor about it. Doctor told him to run for ten minutes on the treadmill, and he was fine. Apparently during some shouting argument he'd pushed his diaphragm out of place and that's what caused it, but the heavy breathing of exercise put it back into place or something.

So yeah, run on the spot or something.

I hate hiccups! xD I haven't had hiccups in a while, though, luckily. It's so annoying when you can't get rid of yet, after you seemed to try everything. Usually when I have hiccups, I eat peanut butter and it works. xD My friends have also scared me when I had hiccups in school.

One of my friends said that drinking water while you're hanging upside down always works. For her. I haven't ever tried. :p

I hate hiccups so much, I had them for so long and everything I tried didn't work so I eventually just fell asleep hiccuping. When I woke up they were gone. :D

When I get the hiccups I just take deep breaths. They usually go away or slow down. If not then just get distracted some how. My friend used this trick on me once during a test, he spoke to me really quietly so I was distracted by that and they were gone "Presto!" he said.

What I normally do is the following:

1) sit upright
2) breathe deeply
3) pushing my chest out everytime I breathe in (delight to the males around me :rolleyes2 )
4) elongate the breathing in
5) internally push my diaphragm back
6) tell someone about it
7) realise I'm not normal

lol

But if you learn it, its easy to repeat!

Have someone block your ears, have yourself drink a full glass of water... always does the trick for me at least.

Hold your breath while drinking 1/2 glasses of water.
This is bound to get you off your hickups (no really it does).

I get hiccups at least once, for five minutes, every single day.

-that- sucks.

I take a deap breath and hold it. I beleive you have to hold the breath until the next hiccup comes up which will not occur.

Cure for hiccups:

14 sips without breathing.

ALWAYS works. If it doesn't work then you're doing it wrong.

I don't get them very often, but usually when I do, they're the kind that hurt. Just...like two days ago I got them while I was doing the laundry. I don't ever try and get rid of them though, for some reason. I just let them do their thing. Even if they last for a couple hours.

I get hiccups after almost every meal because I scarf down my food. I think they know not mess around with me very long because they just leave after a bit.

Try chugging some food. Food is good.

Seriously keep drinking water. Drink until you're bloated and drink moar.
