So, who actually put the time into collecting the loot for Tournsol, and gimme some advice. Is there an easier way to get Hell Flamed horns from Ceberus', or do I have to chain them for 4-6 hours?

Edit - Don't worry, I got the Hell-Gates Flame's required, every four of them.

This subquest would be a lot less irritating if the Bazaar was able to make more than one of a particular item at a time.

I've got everything I need to make a Tournesol except 1 High Arcana. I've got all the ingrediants to make one except for the Soul of Thamassa. I've already sold all the easily obtainable Souls, so my choice is hunting Oversouls (which I've been doing unsucessfully), or try my luck at getting a High Arcana drop from a rare monster.

Is the second method better? And if so, what repeatable rare monster would work best?

you need soul powder correct? if so just do what i did and wipe the mobs clean in the necrohol of nabudis, youll have the chance at getting the soul of thamasas from oversouls and also after you kill the 6th oversoul youll fight helvnik which has a chance to drop a high arcana. I probably cleared that place like 15 times and got maybe like 4 soul of thamasa and 1 or 2 high arcanas. worked nice.

The only high arcana drops that I've gotten from a rare monster is Bombshell in the Lhusu Mines, and Nazarnir. Nazarnir seems to be the most logical, because you don't have to go very far to make him appear/reappear.

I got plenty of Souls of Thamassa from trolling the Necrohol of Nabudis, along with a couple I got from hunt events. The problem is I sold them all at once, so that was able to net me one High Arcana, but the extra Souls of Thamassa got wasted.

I decided the least troublesome Rare Game to try is Greeden. I saved at the village and would go the the banks of the Nebra and kill everything except Cactoids. By the time I got back to the beach, he'd appear. Took me five minutes per try. I'd just reset if he didn't drop what I wanted. On the sixth try, he dropped an Arcana and a High Arcana. I'll use that method from now on if I want more.

I already sold a Serpentarius an Empyreal Soul, and two Gemsteels. But I unintentionally used the Gemsteels up to make a duplicate of a Katana I already had. So I had to make three. The only upside is that you could save on High Arcanas by selling the ingrediants for Serpentarius and Empyreal Souls at the same time.

Anyway I finally got the Tournesol! It's a sweet weapon. :D

The rule of the Bazaar seems to be weapons and armor are non-repeatable, while loot and consumable items are.

i got tourensoul i got it using the tourensoul guide on gamefaqs getting the high acranas is extremely annoying

I always make sure to get the Tournesol. It's very time consuming to acquire all of the loot, but well worth the effort! Before I knew better, I actually made the mistake of collecting enough loot to create two Tournesols. Now, that was a waste! I wish someone would have told me that you could only buy one Tournesol from the Bazaar. Lol!:tongue: (Yeah, I have no life and have put myself through far beyond what the average person is willing to go through in this game.) Lol!:D

My advice for anyone, is to become familiar with which rare game drops any of the ingrediants you need, then steal, steal, and steal some more with thief's cuffs. Make sure you do not kill them off, until you have enough of the needed loot that those particular foe's drop. Move over two screens, come back, rinse and repeat! (I made a terrible mistake of killing off all of the rare game without collecting, my first time through and had to earn everything the hard way by chaining. Trust me, you don't want to go through that!) Granted you will still have to chain to get some of the loot, but it's best to keep that to a minimum.

Also, before you sell off your ingredients to the Bazaar, make sure you have collected what you need to get the 2nd Masamune. You can overlap ingredients. Sell things very carefully to make your loot go further!;)

You can get 2 Masamunes, one as a hunt prize, the other as a bazaar good.

it actually only took me like 2 maybe 3 hours to get everything. i found to get soul of thasma you go and find the hunt ishteen steal it from him then go a few rooms away go back and steal some mroe from him and repeat the process without ever killing him.

hell gates flames are ususally dropped around the 1st-20th chain after that ive never seen one and i chanined over 100 without getting one.
same for the wargods band with leynir. everything else was rather easy to get.

i must say i love this weapon too i equipped the genji glove and got an 11hit combo of 9999 each swing on yiazmat.
