What do you guys think of the new voices for the English version of the PSP game? The trailer can be viewed here:

I don't think Ramza's voice fits him very well...

I don't know what I was expecting as far as voices go, but those certainly weren't the voices I was expecting. None of them really fit, they aren't terrible, but they certainly could have ones that fit better.

Meh, I had no expectations on how the characters sounded so they sound alright to me.

Honestly, I think the voices are pretty good. They could be so much worse, and the accents work in the setting.

Not bad, although I expected the characters to sound different. For example, if Ramza and Delita swapped voice actors, they'd probably sound more like what I expected them to sound. I also didn't expect Agrias to have such a low-pitched voice.

I thought they were pretty good. I like the new dialect used in this different translation as well.

It sounds great. Ramza's voice is a little deeper than I expected, but I'm sure it will turn out to be really good.
Man, those animated cutscenes are beautiful.

Wow, the voices are almost exactly like I imagined them to be, complete with accents. I like this.

Can't say thats exactly how they sounded in my head during the game, but I think they did an excellent job. Keeps the mood very medieval.
Though I can't believe they cut out the "Don't blame me, blame yourself or god." I loved that line.

I liked the voices fit very well. However Ramzas I would have to listen to a bit more. To me it didnt seem to fit his character in the cut scene

Its American censorship. They cant have people blaming God can they. ;)
The voices sound good - I havnt played FFT before though.

The line they replaced "dont blame me, blame yourself or god" with was "forgive me, tis your birth and faith that wrong you, not I" which actually means very similar to the original, and fits the feeling of the game better imo. Also, "dont blame me, blame yourself or god" sounds way too close to a strange mistranslation, hence the new and improved version of the line.
I haven't read the original text, but I imagine they wanted the line in game to be something closer to whats said in the trailer, and translations just botched it a bit
Ouch!

I actually like the voices on this trailer. I cannot wait for this game to come out. It will be like playing it for the first time!
I liked hearing "Blame yourself or God" though. :aimcry:
