Elixers

Has anyone noticed that this is the first game where you can't buy elixers, I mean in the past they costed a lot yeah but at least you could buy them.

Other than random chests is there anywhere else to get them?

If you already have your arcanas for the Tournesol, killing high spawn rare game for them isn't so bad. Especially if you want to use the elixers on magic pots.

Through 150 hours of gameplay I never noticed that...guess it really wasn't that big of a deal (at least for me).

I've never had to use elixirs, or the kind in this game, your MP rejuvenates as you move, and magic is only used for healing in my party, I just attack.

good way to gain mana besides spamming ethers is to syphon your battering ram (usually mines berserked and doesnt use mana anyways). i fought yiazmat for like an hour and a half without using a single elixir or ether.

There was no such thing as an Elixir until FFIV, and you couldn't buy them in most of the FF's (although you could from one of the Hummingways in FFIV).

Elixers aren't supposed to be taken/used lightly, that's why they are harder to get in FFXII.

If you want to get High Arcana drops the best way is to save at the Nebra River village and take on Greeden. Takes five minutes per try. And a 5% drop rate with Canopic Jar.
