Howdy all,

I'm just wondering if you'd all want to be in one this year. Last year, most of the people dropped out and in the end there were about 3 of 4 still following it, so it'd be nice to get more devout participants.

Hockey is my forte, and if Strider doesn't want to commission it this year, I'd love to. The draft wouldn't be until mid September, but I'd like to get the ball rolling as soon as possible, so more people would be able to find out aboot it and join.

So who'd be in?

Maybe. I still don't have a clue about hockey.

Sure, count me in! Send the info my way when you get it up and running.

Take care all.

Hopefully there's more than just us interested, but I presume that more would be joining when the season approaches later this month.

I got the league signed up at Yahoo, so I'll send the info to whoever is interested.

Yeah, you can go ahead and handle this one, dude. Football is enough for me for right now. I'll be in the league, for sure.

Is this a head to head league?

Also, Spuuky will join once I get around to joining and then get around to giving him the info.

Yes, a head to head league, though things may change is we don't get more people involved.

Come on everyone we need more participants!

Attention all who are in this pool!

Due to lack of people signing up, I am proposing that we merge this league with my own personal one. I believe The Captain has already gotten there, so please check the EoFF league for info of the new league!

I wrote it on that league page, but is there any chance to push the draft back to Friday or Saturday early afternoon? I understand if it's too late in the game for that, but I figured I'd ask since I can't be there Wednesday night.

Take care all.

Sorry Captain, the date's been set for quite a while, so we won't be changing it. Sorry :(

Howdy to the few that got into the league, I was hoping that it'd be a pretty good league, but looks like there's only half of us still active. Hockey leagues seem to be in less demand then I thought, but then again, the NHL is probably below MB, NBA, NFA and college basketball and football in the states, so I shouldn't have been surprised.

Anywho, who have been the disappointments and surprises of the season thus far?

God I wish I would've found this topic earlier. Oh well.

Let's Go Jackets!

Speaking of which, Pascal Leclaire has been STELLAR this season so far, although I still prefer Fredrik Norrena.

A Blue Jackets fan?!? You are seriously a rare commodity, but I guess since I live in Ontario, I drown in Toronto and Ottawa fans, and it's rare to find other fans of different teams.

Columbus is doing surprisingly good this year, but my fav team is still Tampa Bay, and I love how the "Big Three" are doing this year!

Yes, NHL hockey fairs better in Columbus than one would think. Sure OSU seems to trump the Jackets in popularity, but the franchise does well, even if they have been horrible ever since the beginning. Most of it comes from the Columbus Chill before they left town to make room for the Jackets' arrival.

JSYK, Tampa is my fav Eastern Conference team, and I always like to see them doing well.

With the regular season done, the final standings are as follows:

Rank - Team - Points - Moves
01. - The New Run-TMC - 99.5 - 6
02. - San Jose Loansharks - 89 - 17
03. - Black Ice - 81 - 18
03. - Whalers - 81 - 0
05. - Samurai Pizza Cats - 80 - 23
06. - Icing On The Cake - 75 - 18
07. - JUMBO JET TONY - 73 - 11
08. - Nikolai Borschevsky - 66 - 3
09. - Chaves - 65.5 - 0
10. - Innovative Reliance - 42 - 7
11. - Selanne and the Kids - 40 - 0

It would appear that Strider has won, even though the last time he logged on would be November 24th. :p Thanks for everyone who kept active (3 of us) to the very end. What I've learned from this is that hockey is not the popular within this forum, and that I should probably just stick to being a participant not a commisioner.

Thanks, and please de-sticky this thread.

:)
