Why doesn't Eiko have any underwear?

I just had an argue with my bofriend on this subject.

He says that she *does* wear underwear, but it's so tight-fitting that you don't see it. I say she's just a shameless girl, and nobody notices because, well, what would you do in such case? Pretend that you didn't notice.

Who is right?

Well, I doubt you actually got a close-up look on Eiko's sprite in FFIX. You probably weren't able to tell she looked naked by looking at her in the game on your TV screen. It's mostly just the strategy guide's fault for including a picture like that.

They should have made her yellow pants normal and not so revealing -_- Even if she's wearing something, it can't be warm, which means she'll chill her inner organs sooner or later, which will cause her lots of problems when she grows up...

I was confused by that picture of her too, but it seems the coloring on that is just odd/darker than it should be. This picture makes things clearer: http://ff9-hq.8m.com/eiko_cg_big.jpg the inner clothing is kind of like a big pink childish one-piece pajama that is slightly darker pink on the sleeves/sholders then on the bottom of it. I'm pretty sure that is an official picture, I've seen it used in several places. The odd coloring/shading on the other is just rather unfortunate though, but given this pic it doesn't seem like the intent is for her to look promiscuous. I believe she's supposed to be a fairly innocent character. Also the wings on her back are fake and attached to the one-piece costume/pj-thing she is wearing.
