I think that would make a pretty cool prequel. Tie up all loose ends, show Jecht recording his spheres, and him and Auron's promise.

I still have yet to play X-2, I stayed away because it looked like a girl-power kind of thing, but the people I know who played it said it was pretty good, one of them even saying it was better than X...i'm not too sure about that.

Well, a prequel doesn't necessarily have to involve Braska's pilgrimage (although I would have loved it!). What about the Machina war, the founding of Yevon church, Mi'ihen's story etc.

Yes,the Machina War would have been a great story to be told added with some entirely new locations throughout Spira( not like the slightly revised ones in x-2)...The story of the first crusaders could also be really Epic!

I don't think there's enough story left to be told in Braska's pilgrimage, what with the Jecht Spheres an' all. That game would be pure gameplay as we already know the story, and I doubt that could be done all that well...

If they'll do a prequel, it should probably be something we're only prehipherably aware of, gives a lot more room for story development.

I'd prefer a new story, rather than just retelling an old one. The point about Braska's pilgrimage is u know how its going to end. Setting a story in an earlier age of Spira would be fine though. Visiting the original Zanarkand would be great!

well jus to tell ya 10 was one of the ones along with 7 that got the most hype...its awesome...i agree 10-2 was too girly and difficult at times...the only thing bad about 10 is the f'n seymour fights....i got my ass kicked by that biatch so many times:mad:...:eep: but other than that its awesome...u should get it i bets its really cheap now...:D

Well I think i remember the creator of FF saying that each one should be in a new world to be a challenge for the designers and players. They only did a sequel to FFX cos it was so mega popular. Then other sequels appeared. Maybe its not so good for the game in the long run.

Well so far FFX only has two games ... :D
while FFVII has like a gazillion [ok. more like four more installments, and not all are games. I don't remember anymore and I'm not compelled to remember anyway].
In any case, if FFX-3 would be a prequel, then I say AYE! :D
It's a bit hard to spin a sequal out of what happened after FFX-2 ... haven't played it, but if there were loose ends from FFX, FFX-2 tied them all up with a good tight knot.
... Or you know, SE can always make a movie based on FFX instead :p

You may know the outcome, but did that hurt the "second" Star Wars Trilogy? I have long said a prequel would be awesome. New spells, new fiends, more minigames like Blitz (like FFX, not crap like FFX-2)

What they need to do, is include the badass bosses that the overseas versions seem to get (I uppose FF VII is the exception)

Depends on the type of game that they would make. No PSP. Those are overpriced and expensive (why I probably won't play crisis core). None of these genre crossover crap either. I want an RPG. Not Action-RPG. RPG. There's a time and place for Action-RPG's but the main numbered Final Fantasy games isn't one of them nor any sequels they might bring. But on the down side, so much of their story was told in 10. Flashback and all. So There isn't much room for surprises. And we know the ending. But it would be cool to pick up Jetch and Auron.
