Soul Eater

Does Riku use the Soul Eater in KHI or does he not get it until CoM? Cuz if he dont gets it until CoM then Sora shouldn't be able to recognize Riku by the Soul Eater in KHII in the land of Dragons.

Yes, Riku did have it in KH1. It was the weapon he used before Ansem/Xehanort's Heartless took over his body and gave him the Dark Keyblade. I'm pretty sure Riku used it during the first battle against him in Hollow Bastion.

Way to the Dawn is a Keyblade based on Soul Eater. They are, technically the same weapon, except that Way to the Dawn has a notch at the end that turns it into a key. Same weapon, different names. It would be incorrect to use the wrong name to describe the weapon before proper chronological events, as they symbolize different things.

It's unknown when he got it. The earliest I can see that I can see him using it was Parasite Cage.
