View Full Version : The Greatest Movie In The Universe

Not content with just running a single contest, I decided I'd do one in The Lounge as well. Okay, I need entrants for this one. Give me ideas of which movies to include and we'll have a knockout tournament for 'em sorted in a jiffy.

DVD-only releases are acceptable provided they are still considered to be feature-length. In other words, Final Fantasy VII Advent Children can be suggested, for example.

I'll start by throwing in the regulars...

The Godfather
Pulp Fiction
The Shawshank Redemption

...and also throw in some of my personal favourites...

The Emperor's New Groove
and
Shaun of the Dead

Now, gimme more! I want at least 64 movies to be in this. :D

You can first/second no more than 20 movies.

No 300? This list fails.

300, Life of Brian, MP and the Holy Grail, Anchorman, A Few Good Men. All others I can think of have been said.

I was going to say the three Pirates of the Caribbean films, which I've seen more times than I can count, but they've been said. I saw The Shawshank Redemption for the first time a few days ago and it's easily on the list.

Napoleon Dynamite is there for me too. Fits my sense of humour to a tee. Also there is Remember the Titans and A Beautiful Mind. Possibly the greatest movie ever is Braveheart. :p

EDIT: How could I forget Se7en? My other favourite movie.

Mongol: The open steppe, fleet horse, falcons at your wrist, and the wind in your hair.
Mongol General: Wrong! Conan! What is best in life?
Conan: To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women.
