I have like £30 i've been holding onto for a year and a half now waiting for the time to convert them to massive us monies.

I kinda wish I would've invested in canadian money now.

It isn't. Canada was a dominion but even that status has changed and I think you're simply a member of the Commonwealth with a shared head of state (Elizabeth II).

It's been the two dollar pound for quite some time now. I think the highest I've seen it go (from watching Newsnight's currency market bit at the end) was about £1 = $2.05.

I didn't know that yet, but I'm sort of pleased, since I'm Canadian and all. Finally we get a turn to enjoy being the leader of North American monetary value!

Still, I've heard some mixed reviews from our standpoint. This may prove to provide new challenges our economy as well.

Just because their money is worth more doesn't mean they don't still have flappy heads.

Damn, Canada's not far from my school. Shoulda invested, I need more money.

This means Americans will be less likely to visit Canada, much as has happened in Europe. And despite the weakening dollar, the average US citizen still holds a great deal of wealth and there's a good amount of income to be had with tourists.

Wow, what a difference. American dollar 1 vs Canadian dollar 1.0022. You would have to buy a lot of Canadian dollars just to make a one dollar profit :p

Not as low as it has been, but not at all close in value. 1 GBP is about 2.75 NZD.
