Do you consider your self smart comparetivly to the others around you?

I consider my self fairly book smart. I know a lot of useless "Trivial Persuit" knowledge type of stuff. However, I am naive and very, very immature. When I just looked up how to spell "naive" I had to stop and giggle at the word "nipple."

I'm generally quite smart in most situations sometimes however I sit there and simply smile and nod along or look blank...generally when I'm around my girlfriend and anyone else who speaks fluent Polish

Hell no. I routinely ask a friend of mine who's like 7 or 8 years younger than me questions. People at work who are higher ranked than me are there because they are smarter and have more experience than I do. With my friends, they are increasingly better than me in education (philosophy doesn't really rank 'up there' as a smarty pants educational path). Blah blah blah.

If I had to pick a group of people I'm smarter than, it would probably be friends of mine who are even more wont to not learn things (I condition myself to be ignorant).

My friends all say that I'm the smartest person out of our group. But, I don't think I am. I'm not that smart. =[

I'm intelligent, but not smart, if you can pick the difference. Especially not "socially" smart.

In some respects yeah I'm smart. But more of a common sense streets smart sort of way. I've seen and dealt with alot of crazy :skull::skull::skull::skull: so I have experience in a lot of ways.and I remember things like a mofo.

I'm above average, but compared to the sort of people I hang around with I'm not especially smart. Most of my intelligence goes towards remembering pointless trivia, anyway, so when it comes to mathetmatics or something, I'm definitely not smart. :p
