Square Enix Talks about the Ivalice Alliance news from 1UP.com (http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3163528)
states that Vagrant Story could be a logical step as for a future port to the PSP.

And in an earlier article, stating that Yasumi Matsuno wants to work on a project similar to the Ogre Battle. And since Square owns Quest, we could see something Ogre Battle, or Tactics Ogre coming. Slim but, what do you think? I'll try to find that article.

Good to see that they are willing to continue to port moderately unsuccessful but otherwise good JRPGs to the PSP. Hopefully this will inevitably lead to an upgraded Xenogears port.

I'd buy a PSP for a port of Vagrant Story.

they say it's a possiblity, but there's a lot of other great square enix games that aren't going to get ported for the reason that they weren't too popular. The only reason I might want a port of this game is it might be easier than hunting down a used copy of it, provided it comes out on a system i have.

The interview was a joke though, it made me realize how narcissistic westerners must come off as. They couldn't ask a single question without preceding it with a statement. Its not really an interview, more just telilng the developers "This is how I feel. What do you think of that?"

I can't listen to interviews anymore for that reason. They're all like that. Its as though they feel their opinion is more interesting than that of the person they're interviewing. American vanity is ridiculous.

Anyway, I'm going to remain optimistic about this. I want to see a port Ogre Battle and Vagrant Story, and I certainly hope they consider doing as Karellen suggested and make a port of Xenogears.

While a remake of Vagrant Story, including all the stuff that was taken out from the PS1 version to make it fit onto one CD, would be awesome, I'd much rather see a sequel. The plot definitely left plenty of room for a continuance of the story, and with the success of FFXII which was heavily inspired by VS's gameplay, plus the whole Ivalice Alliance relevance, it's something that could meet with good sales. Of course, if the PSP port does happen and it sells well, a sequel is more likely to appear I guess, so I'm for it, even though I have no intention of ever buying a PSP =S

Give me another Ogre game that plays like Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen. Much better than the Ogre Tactics Games.

And I actually wasn't a big fan of Vagrant Story.
