I don't really like the pop-remakes, but the pop-to-rock ones are generally pretty cool. This one isn't bad. The lyrics isn't the most appropriate for most guys though.

I generally don't mind covers except for "dance" versions of rock/metal songs. It totally rapes kills them.

I really like Killswitch Engage's cover of Dio's "Holy Diver". Hell, KsE's video to the song is a parody the original video to the same song. I'm telling you, if anyone would parody the original video to a song they covered, it's Killswitch Engage. I'll bet you their guitarist, Adam Dutkiewicz, talked the band into that; he's the clown of that band. I know this because I actually met him after a show.
